Trail Report

2017-2018 Season

January 12, 2018

With the upcoming rain and tricky weather forecast, we strongly urge that you do not ride our trails this weekend. Once the colder weather returns, our groomers will be out to get our trails back in shape. We are looking forward to more snow next week and ask your patience as we wait for Mother Nature to help us out.

December 29, 2017

Here are some friendly reminders in regards to the current Powder Mill trail conditions. Our Trial master Tom Goss has opened the trails for the season. We have an approximate base of 6-8 inches with a solid snow pack, but with icy spots at times. We would like to point out that the Section of Cor 22 from Main Street in New Durham to the Town Beach is still closed.

Our club volunteers are out on the trails trimming back the last of the low branches. We also have our groomers all scheduled for the next few days. Please keep an eye out for them as we continue to improve the trails this season.

Please yield warning to the extreme temperatures that we are having right now. These temperatures are great for the base of our trails but can be very dangerous to our club members. Always have a back up plan, emergency supplies and tell someone when you are going out riding in case of emergency.

Now!!! Go have some fun on the Powder Mill Trails. We are off to a great start this season thanks to mother nature. But our biggest shout out goes to all of our volunteers and landowners that make our trails possible. Thank You.

December 26, 2017

The time has come. Our trail master Tom Goss has deemed our trails rideable. We were able to get our before the big storm yesterday and roll the trails. All gates are open except for one at the bottom of Mt. Jessie going to the boys and girls club. We hope to be out and get some grooming done soon. Please ride carefully and watch for groomers. Happy riding!

December 21, 2017

THIS JUST IN: Corridor 22 from Main Street in New Durham to the Town Beach Trail will be closed until further notice. There is logging being done in this area and we have decided it best to close this trail until they are done. This is for your safety. Please do not ride around the gate at Main Street or the barrier at the intersection at the other end. The area closed is circled in the map below. The Tree Farm Trail will be the only trail heading east through our system. We will still maintain the trail to the New Durham General Store. Please note that at this time none of the PMSC trails are open. We will make a decision after the storms on 12/22 and 12/25.

Our trails are not open yet. Please do not ride until our groomers have a chance to groom the trails. We will post as soon as the trails are ready. Thanks!
